Again, the passenger draw for DCA extends a lot further than people who live near a Metro. I don’t know how this can be made any clearer. I’m not going to drive 20 minutes to park at a metro station to then have a 40+ minute metro ride with a line change to DCA. [/quote]

Nobody said it was an option for everyone. But a number of people here said they were picking up or dropping off a college student. Easy fallback option if you check the traffic and it's bad in that scenario. Of course doesn't work for everyone. But it's the type of situation that if you take say 20% of the cars out of the equation, it can make a massive difference because traffic backups aren't linear once they get bad [/quote]
