What’s some good sports that have worked out for your young for the grade kids? This is for a late May birthday in an area that 90 percent of kids who play sports are redshirted from January. He likes almost all sports and plays 3 grade level ones already (lax, flag and basketball) so I want one option that is age based since many kids are already a full year older so it’s not as much of an issue to keep up. We are in the south in a very wealthy area so this is the norm. I’m not interested in debating about this, just want some positive suggestions of things that worked out for your kids in a similar situation.
If I were the OP, I would definitely stay away from team sports, and put him in golf. He is going to be successful in golf REGARDLESS of his weight or height. Last time I checked, Rory Mcilroy, Colin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Brian Harman are major champions and all of them is under 5"10.
I think you are joking, but the kid isn't even going to be short though. Mom is 5'6" and dad is 6'3". He is 8! He is currently small just like ALL 8 year olds.
