California gets more per capita than the average state.  They get more in federal funding than any other state (because they are so big).  Their state university system would collapse without federal support, their health care sysstem would collapse without federal support, their police/emergency services would collapse without federal support, their k-12 system would collapse without federal support, they need those federal dollars.[/quote]

Yeah I was trying to figure out if these people thought that California didn't have to sell the produce to someone. This whole argument is very odd. CA would fold like a chair if federal funds were pulled.  At minimum they wouldn't actively impede federal law enforcement.[/quote]

What the people opining don't realize is that CA farmer's rely on interstate water regulated by guess who? They also receive tax insurance, subsidies and federal tax breaks from guess who? Be a shame if all of these DCUM types didn't get their boxed wine from Modesto.[/quote]
