They are competing for teachers and therapist against all other districts and private industry. Even if they raise the salary in one place the dollar value has to be taken from somewhere else. I’m not saying that things can’t be cut (in fact some things are certainly going to be when we see this budget in December) but folks had better certainly understand that not everything can stay and what gets changed may be the thing you like, need or want.
