Why is the state trying to push this off on MCPS? It is their test. MCPS does a fine job with its test. Should our county taxes shouldn't be further subsidizing these state initiatives? Honestly, [b]it's not like my kids need all these standardized tests anyway especially unproven ones like MCAP.[/b][/quote]

Because it's a weed out test for teachers. For example if a certain #/% of 8th grade students don't perform well on that "unproven" state Science test, one piece of data to remove science teacher (yes, they have a shortage of teachers in STEAM). [/quote]
