I never really got the "mean girl" vibe overall.  Sure, there are some competitive moms and dads who constantly post on social media, but I'm sure you'd get that no matter where you live.  I've made a wonderful group of friends here, and so have each of my kids.

This sums up our experience of living in Vienna as well although we have only lived here since 2015. And the PP's comment about hearing if your kid is up to something is so true!

It is funny actually as I will be running short on time and need to run into Giant for that one item hoping to make it as quick as possible and I will always see someone I know. Vienna is that kind of place. It really is a genuine community.[/quote]
