I don’t think women would have been so accepting of tampons when they came out if they had to remove the bloody tampon with their hands and roll it up in tp, instead of flushing it. That why they had applicators. Only later with the OB tampon, did women have to stick it up their vagina with their bare fingers to insert it. A sanitary pad did not have to be touched on the soiled part. It could be rolled up and wrapped in tp. [/quote]
