Most of all, trying so hard to be unique, but by doing so they end up conforming to the sub-culture which itself has become a whole genre and not just a unique niche. It seems that the trend is not as prominent as it was maybe 5-7 years ago, but I still can't wait until it's no longer cool to be a hipster.
This is always the case, from beatniks emulating the so-called Beat writers to the most modern "cool thing" to do. By trying to be individualistic, they conform into an amorphous blob. "Body Snatchers" effect, which was ironically pirated and emulated from Heinlein's "Puppet Masters". It's all so tiring, but will continue as long as humans exist. Now if only they'd get rid of the sissy looking skinny jeans and mom jeans and bring back the low rise hip hugging jeans in style. They are harder to find now.
Mom jeans are not a hipster trend whatsoever. Not sure who is keen on the low rise hip hugger jean trend returning. Certainly not me. Sissy is an outdated word. Doubt my kids have even ever heard it.
You just outed yourself. LMAO. Please continue. I'm amused.
