 thank

Snacks-y Pick at Snack on Really?
NP My kids are the same at the pool- they don’t want anything big, but want something to eat at every adult swim. The prepared food section is your friend. Does your pool have a grill?
I mean, it does. But we usually bring lunch or dinner if we’re going to have lunch or dinner there. Just the whole vibe of kids constantly “picking” and “snacking on” is gross. You properly wash your hands, you have a meal or ONE snack, that’s pool time. I’m picturing them grabbing handfuls of pretzels and getting the bag wet with dirty, chlorinated water. Gross.
NP. If your kids can’t dry off their hands before grabbing a handful of snacks, that’s a you problem.
The fact that you don’t mention WASHING and then fully drying their hands speaks volumes.
It’s a handful of pretzels poolside. Unclench.
Enjoy your poo pretzels.
NP, but you realize your kids are SWIMMING in that for hours, right?
Yes. Do you realize there is a difference between swimming and eating/drinking? My kids are smart enough not to SWALLOW pool water. Are yours? I get that there’s a certain amount of grossness to the pool, no matter how you slice it. But expecting kids to thoroughly wash their hands before eating is a pretty low bar. It’s weird that some of you think literally basic hygiene is a high bar.
I need to point out to you that your children are away from you a lot of the time and don't wash their hands properly or at all before eating. I know it's a blow. I'm sorry.
That could be. But they are at the pool with me and when they are at the pool with me and/or DH, they thoroughly wash their hands. I know you feel very sensitive and called out right now that you aren’t ensuring your kids practice literally basic hygiene, I get that you are embarrassed. It’s never too late for you to be such a lazy, checked out mom that you actually ensure that your kids wash their hands before eating at the pool.
This is so lol.
