The bicycles available for students at my kid's residence hall are insane. Literally, Olympic-level racing machines. And the school has a dedicated bike track for racing. My kid now has a new hobby.
Do you mean a velodrome? Or something else?
Not a velodrome. It's outdoors. And not banked. The school refers to it as the bike track. Each year, the residences compete against each other in a big annual race. But what's remarkable is that these aren't student bikes. But real specialized racing bicycles that the students can use for training. I thought it was cool. It's a completely different riding experience. And kind of a neat thing to have such high level gear available for students. My DC really took to it.
I'd love that - a safe place to ride hard on a racing bike and not need to worry about cars on the road or others on multipurpose trails.
