But how would you know this is true? Are the scouts introduced to the clubs and team? Do the coaches know them and can verify that they are there?
Because you can tell who they are. Often the two I recognize have DCU swag on; they’re not hiding it. My DH spoke to one a few times and he confirmed who he was and what he was doing there. They’re not hiding in the bushes.
Do they get the names of players they’re interested in from the coach after a game or do they have access to the rosters for all local MLSNext games?
Yes and yes. They will never contact the player, always through the coach first.
Are the scouts friendly with the MLSNext coaches then? I mean it must suck to have your best players essentially poached regularly!
Why would it suck for the professional academy in your area to want a player you developed, providing you actually developed him?
The idea of a professional academy showing interest in a player you’ve developed can certainly be seen as a compliment to the work you’ve done. However, it’s important to consider the broader context in which this is happening. In our area, there is a significant gap in terms of support, resources, and qualified staff for true player development at the professional academy level.
I don't understand what you mean by your second paragraph. There is gap between our area and where? What is true player development? Why don't we have resources, support and qualified staff? What's the evidence of that? Aren't there players from our region now playing professionally here and overseas?
