[b]Battlefield [/b]over BI (+3) 10-7- Bobcats stepped up and got a nice win v. Robinson. BI lost big to PVI, but that was not unexpected.
 
[b]PVI[/b] over Madison (+5) 10-5- PVI took care of business last week and expect them to do the same each week in VEL. Madison was much too close to Indy. A long slow slide from their past state championship? They just don't have the ability to stay with a private any longer.

[b]Robinson[/b] over Yorktown (+5) 10-5- Robinson finds themselves with a loss for the first time in over a year and expect them to respond. Yorktown laid an egg v Langley and expect it to continue this week.

Independence v Langley- off the board. Not making a pick as I don't care and not to care to read troll comments.

Great post. Keep it comming.   I think Madison will see a down year this year after losing their three best players to graduation.  Their performance against PVI will be an early if not perfect indication how the season will go.

One big question which we will get and answer to this weekend is has Madison goaltending improved?  This was a weakness last year.

This is definitely Langley year, they got the most returning guys #7, #8, #12, #6, #4, #1, #24, #16, #30 and plenty more. They should have a pretty easy path to states if Yorktown and Madison are both down from graduation.[/quote]

People have been hyping Langley for the last couple years but they haven't won their own district, much less region or states, in a long time. They bring back one big scorer and their FOGO. They also return their goalie and most of their D, athough that wasn't really their strong point last year. Lost a lot of goal scoring (2 attack and 2 middies) so younger guys will have to step up. They could be decent but way too early to say it is their year.  Saying they have an easy path to states is just silly.[/quote]
