Because AAU is almost dead during county basketball season. So to get their team playing, they sign up for county.[/quote]

But how do they "sign up for county"? They need to be selected as the coach from McLean, or BRYC, or whatever, and then they need to hold tryouts and choose a team that matches the assigned zip codes. AAU players come from all over, they can't just pick a team that matches their kids. [/quote]
