I had two bio kids from my first marriage with a miscarriage in between. SS is from DH’s first marriage, but isn’t his bio kid. I had a health issue that made pregnancy life threatening so DH had a vasectomy. He always said he didn’t care about biology. He raised my younger daughter from age 8. It was not planned, but we adopted a young teen relative of my husband at the start of the pandemic. The missing kid feeling went away. [/quote]
