Being a size 4 vs 10 is worth a lot of money, perhaps millions of dollars, to a young woman in terms of career and marriage prospects. I would do it.
This is a terrible reason to get on semaglutides. First, they are expensive. What happens when a partner finds out you spend a fortune every year on a medication for weight loss and that if you get off it, then the weight will come back? My wife is on semaglutide and it costs us almost $500/month, almost $6K. I am fine with the cost because we are in our 50s and can afford it. But we also aren't saving money for a house, a wedding and children's colleges. Second, the effects of semaglutides on pregnancy are unknown, but most doctors will advise patients to discontinue if they get pregnant. For one thing, you don't want to surpress your appetite when you are eating for two and you need to eat enough for the fetus to grow naturally. It is suspected that infants born to mothers on semaglutide could be undernourished or undersized due to lack of sufficient nutrition during pregnancy. So, this should not be the focus. If/when it comes out, it could become a major problem in a relationship if this is one of the reasons you chose this poorly reasoned decision.
