At a certain point, it's much easier to avoid alcohol all together rather than try to control it. The mental struggle isn't worth it. And you feel better all around when you don't have to deal with it - both the brain side and the body side. It's much easier to have no drinks at all rather than try to limit things to vacations and special occasions when you have a predilection for drinking. People are wired differently. Is what it is.
