I got these recs from this site, but I just finished Cassandra in Reverse last night and before that read (and REALLY loved) The House in the Cerulean Sea. Both would work well in a book club.
I just finished (and liked!) Cassandra in Reverse, too. I’m mostly over “single women in their 20s/30s” books because they feel formulaic to me at this point. But Cassandra felt quite different, as both a character and a book. Fun read with substance, and I absolutely laughed out loud a few times. Plenty for a book club to discuss without getting dark or heavy. (Bonus points if anyone in the group is into Greek mythology. Not at all necessary, just a fun extra layer.)
