We have family members who refuse to switch to iPhone and at this point, the family just delegates one person to inform Android users. This means they miss the routine family day to day status updates and such. Socializing is a big part of teen years, do not make it unnecessary for your kid to do this. Secondly, in this area everything is related to who you know and relationships. You never know how this might bite you as the adults in the butt later.
