It's funny that people like OP are "shocked" that wealthy people share their houses with their families, because this his how wealthy people have lived for thousands of years. This is why "house" has the same meaning as "clan". The wealth clans hold houses, often large enough to house dozens of people, through the ages for the purpose of housing their, you guessed it, family. [/quote]
