The new Giant looks cheap and has become a congregation point for shelter residents, area voucher recipients and PIW releasees. The only things keeping people going over the past few years was the closure of the Georgetown Whole Foods and Tenleytown Safeway. Whole Foods reopened and there’s now a Trader Joe’s, Wegmans and a Lidl coming soon. That area is going to continue to deteriorate as fewer people go there to shop. [/quote]
