We had a black bear cub in MoCo many times but never heard of someone shooting it. I ran into one when I was on a walk with my dog.
This is another reason for me to dislike Virginia, among many other reasons. I wonder if it was a NoVa resident who hit our MoCo fawn.[/quote]

You are correct, I don't know. Thank you for correcting me. Probably was the driver. Which makes me think even more highly of Maryland citizens. They do not shoot bears like their counterparts in NoVa.[/quote]

Maryland bears have exquisite taste and know that Maryland blue crabs are the best food. It would have died happy. In Virginia, the poor bear was shot because it was black, a common cause of death for many in Virginia.[/quote]
