She and her DH, who then had a 150 truck, disassembled it, loaded it, brought it to my house, and she and my DH (Her dh has bum knees) assembled it for me.
And I can honestly tell that she is cheap and as penny-saving as it gets—English, to top it off! (English people and good friends of English people will know what I am talking about.)
She would rant about how her DH spent more on gas driving a 10-dollar lamp to buyers who could not come collect it.
Your friend is not a nice person. I was an expat several times, and I know that prices for larger pieces can sell close to the original price. I sold a whole playground in Africa for just about what I bought it for. But, I had a lot of expat mom friends.[/quote]
