NO, they are comparing to the great value of instate schools  And if not instate for your family than OOS is still cheaper.  I can't fathom paying $85-91K for Syracruse!  WHY?  You have 4,000 options in the USA. WHY would you spend that kind of money to go there?????[/quote]

Some have no trouble affording it, apparently.  Why drive a BMW when a used Honda will do?  Why go to Europe when you can vacation at a local lake?  Why go to a Michelin star when you can get your feed on at Maccers?

FFS. Not everybody pays sticker price. And those who do can afford it. There are lots of things to dislike about Syracuse, but price isn’t one of them.[/quote]

If you don’t have “financial need” (about 2/3 of the students) then you have about a 50% chance to get some non-need based aid, and it will be about a $15k discount. Peanuts, doesn’t make Syracuse worth it.

If you’re an athlete they’ll give you big bucks though. Yay![/quote]
