Why do you all still have kids in public school?
Sweet! You’re gonna pay for my kids private HS? Such a generous offer. We need more people like you!
Yep, will take that poster's offer too. No to religious schools!!!
I’ll take religious schools over your train wreck and many others are too. We all know you would too.
Why again are you on the "train wreck" forum? Go deal with your abuse cases at your private school.
Keep trying in your desperation. I have a say for public as I pay and live in mont county. You can suck it.
Of course can't believe they pay property taxes and also pay for private school. And wait until their private school kid is roommates with a *gasp* public school kid at the same college.
Because we can pay for private school and choose to. You’re jealous about that. Colleges are for *gasp* all individuals who completed high school. You simply don’t care enough about your child to send them in their formative years to a good learning environment.
dp Yet they still end up in the same colleges as public school students. DC's friend went to a private school. They ended up at the same college. DC went to a public magnet.
Do you not get that colleges are for all who graduated from high school? Is this a new concept to you? That these are adults who attend college?
? the private parent PP thinks their private has a "good learning" environment. How "good" exactly was it if those kids end up at the same colleges as public school kids, including those who did not go to a magnet school? I guess if the public school kid ended up at the same college as the private school kid even with the "bad" learning environment, that public school kid must be really smart and has grit. Come to think of it, maybe elite colleges should recognize that private school kids can get those high stats because they have a "good" learning environment, unlike public school kids, so all public school kids from MCPS should be given that "overcame adversity" leg up.
I remember when our kids were younger, we had a HS babysitter from Visi. She ended up at Clemson. So did our non magnet MCPS neighbor. That’s when my husband and I decided to pull our kids out of private. Didn’t seem worth it.
