This is so true.  It was really eye opening when DS moved up from a bad team in MoCo where no parents seemed to have played past middle school (and lots of parents yelled incoherently at refs and complained about coaching during games) to a good team in PG county where most of the parents played at a high level.  I’m tall and fit, and other dads, assuming I played, would casually share insights that I’d have to go home and google to understand.  Also, the only comments I ever heard about refs or the coaches were when parents replied to kid complaints with things like “I KNOW you’re not whining to me about calls, right?”  And “Why are you talking to me?  He’s the coach.”  It was really great.  [/quote]
