+1. our kid was accepted UVA for arrospace engineering. the PP's comment re lack of STEM at UVA is outdated. Go research what Jim Ryan has done over the last 8 years[/quote]

It's a trope people around here like to say because people get riled up about it. Don't, your son will get a very good education and have very good outcomes. The pathological hair-splitting about rankings and who what is strong or weak in this or that is ridiculous. At the end of the day, a hard working student will have access to great professors and resources at any top 75 school and especially at a top 25.[/quote]

It is an easy way to try to put down a school.  That is why it persists on DCUM.[/quote]
