There was a trend on social media a few months ago where people posted videos saying "I'm ____, of course I do XYZ."

They were 1-2 minute long playful clips that either poked fun at certain groups or highlighted certain in-jokes. For example, "I'm a tourist. Of course I stand on the left of the escalator" or "I'm a Washingtonian. Of course, I leave town before The Fourth of July."

I don’t even use TikTok and I’ve seen that trend everywhere. It’s on IG, Fb, and YouTube! And stuff gets reposted to TwitterX! Do people just … not go on any kind of social media at all? Not even to look/watch and not post? And then they come on here and it’s all anonymous so we don’t know who’s living so far under a rock but giving thoughts and advice like they’re a normal person??? It’s honestly blowing my mind a bit and I need to sit down. [/quote]

Power to the people who don’t participate in social media, aren't online, and don’t care about pop culture in that way. But it is very interesting to see how many confused and completely out of the loop people felt that they still needed to contribute. It explains a lot of the threads on here…[/quote]
