I started saving and preparing at 30 when I first started reading about Single Mothers by Choice. At 37 I brought home my daughter from overseas. From first step of gathering paperwork until she was placed in my arms was 14 months. I worked with JSSA in Rockville and a New Jersey adoption agency. My father cried when he met his new granddaughter. I initially pursued foster/adopt but social services in DC never returned my calls. [/quote]
