I now live in an nyc borough and have a 30 min door to door commute on a train where I get a seat. My kid goes to public school a block away and we have been impressed with her school so far.  It’s very academics focused for example they want every kid reading in kindergarten.  We own a condo. We don’t have a ton of space but we have enough. Even a small backyard.  I like my coworkers, neighbors and fellow parents. We bought after the crash in 2010. Stuff is expensive yes but it works for us.

One of my siblings stayed in nova and could only afford an ex urb where they live in a largish house super close to other houses with no yard.  My sibling drives an hour to work in traffic.  Their school seems bad as my nephew still can’t read in first grade and everyone seems ok with that at school. They do like their neighbors and all but no thanks.
