Come on ... is a 3.7/1350 kid really even a B student? That's a very strong profile. I think he will get into JMU. Maybe VT. I agree with the Syracuse suggestion. Toss in Penn State, St. Joe's and Temple.
+1 In what world is a 3.7/1350 kid a "B-" student? Especially one that has taken Calc BC. What was his grade in that class? Any C's on his transcript? If he is open to larger universities, it will open many options up (VT, Syracuse, Indiana, Penn State, Delaware, Uconn, plus Alabama, Michigan State as safeties). For smaller/mid-size, Elon, Providence, Ithaca, Marquette. Gonzaga. It's hard getting mid size that have strong sports, so look to some of the jesuit schools for that.
VT is not taking a 3.7/1300 ish SAT score student. Mine were above 4.0 and above 1500. One was weightlisted and the other rejected. 2021 and 2024. 3.7 is not VT stats.
