Like UNC, KU has a beautiful campus in a beautiful town that’s a short drive from a midsize city. It also has a tradition of taking the humanities seriously. One advantage it has over comparable private schools is that grad schools and employers will assume that a school like KU was simply the cheapest option available for many students. So, they might take students from there a bit more seriously than they would take graduates of places like Creighton or Washburn.
