And clarified that her mom had exactly the type of job where she can't just duck out for a few hours and finish up later. She was working her fingers to the bone to provide for the family in whats was probably a soul crushing job and OP is whining that she wasn't happy that she went to a lame concert and probably had to work OT to make up for it.
