OP, with your mother having passed, and it sounds like no siblings, the only thing you could do is see if you can access your pediatric medical records. Then you could possibly see any notation if they were considering MBP. Even if you never had CPS or social work come to your home, your MDs could have had that theory in the running. Even more so if your mother stopped taking you to the MD. So did she ever take you for the vomiting episodes? if she didn't wake/assess/care for you during the episodes that could either be her negligence or could be that the 'tried everything and gave up'. It would be as remarkable if she NEVER took you to the MD- as if she did take you and flagged the MD radar. I don't think this is wasted or useless energy for you to be thinking about these things. Our whole lifetimes we process our histories and our existence. That is normal. Especially if you have similarly aged kids... this kind of thing crops up with memories and shutting down these questions or memories is definitely not the answer- though I am sorry you may not ever get answers here. I do think it's of note that you are questioning it- based on lots of other strange things in childhood. Likely if you listed them out/reviewed with therapy you would get better feedback from whomever is assisting you.
