I live in CC, MD and not on a secluded corner lot where burglars can easily sneak around. I'm sorry to say that if you live in a major metropolitan area, you are probably at risk of being a victim of burglars yourself. It's overwhelmingly unlikely of course (thankfully) but you are no safer than the OP in Herndon or someone in Gaithersburg. OTOH, I grew up an hour outside of Boston in a town of 10,000 people and my parents still rarely lock the door at all. [/quote]
