He certainly has a type doesn’t he.
What type does he have. The only commonality the known women in Joshua Jackson's life is that they are all actresses. Looks like he does not limit himself when dating and really doesn't have a type. He leaves himself open to possibilities. Katie Holmes does not look anything like Diane Kruger, nothing. Other than they are both white women, they have nothing in common type wise. Diane Kruger, his first wife has nothing in common with his second wife, Jodie Turner. And the only commonality Lupita has with Jodie is that they are both only dark skin Black women.
He was only married once, to Jodie Turner (a black model.) He dated Diane Kruger for 10 years but they never married. After that, he fell in love with Jodie Turner and married her almost immediately. They had a child and divorced 4 years later. This is what is very triggering to people who say they aren’t racist but they can’t wrap their head around the fact that a desirable man chose a black (undeserving) woman over a white (deserving) one. The anger they feel towards the woman he chose is bizarre. This is the running theme of any Joshua Jackson thread. How supportive Diane was and how they were perfect etc. immediately followed by insults towards Jodi’s (and now Lupita’s) appearance focused on skin and hair. Prior threads about Jodi had the bonus of insults towards Joshua’s daughter. (Stay classy DCUM) I don’t know what it is about Joshua Jackson, but it brings out a lot of latent racist rage. And look, this is no shade to Diane—they dated for ten years, but she moved on and married someone else. Just like Joshua moved on. The only ones who can’t move are racists hiding behind online anonymity.
Wasting ten years of a woman’s prime and fertility—any woman, any race—and then making a baby with a rebound is just trashy and cruel. Race has nothing to do with it. And I’d hardly call some washed up child actor a highly desirable man. Nobody really cares about these guy.
DP here. But Kruger had a baby with Norman Reedus well before Jodie Turner-Smith had a kid with Joshua Jackson. Like two years. Also, Kruger has stated publicly that she and Jackson tried to have a kid together and it "didn't work out." We have no idea what that means. Maybe fertility issues for one or both of them, maybe the relationship was rocky and trying to have a baby made it worse, who knows. A lot of people want to impose these very specific tropes onto Kruger and Jackson's relationship and I don't know why. I was weirdly invested in their relationship because I find them both extremely appealing people and really liked them together (I don't normally care about celeb relationships at all) but I do not understand this desire to cast her as this wronged woman and him as the guy who strung her along. It doesn't come off that way at all to me.
