The only argument I have is that the three women are WAY out of his league. What gives?
He is super hot. It's this perfect sweet spot between kind of cuddly/cute and rugged/handsome. A lot of us do not want someone super ripped and muscular like the Rock or an athlete, but also the skinny rocker isn't my thing either. I like a guy who seems substantial, physically, but not super muscular, but also not out of shape. He's pretty much my physical ideal for a guy. Also like that his face is kind of soft, but with a bit of a beard he has a nice jaw and it's still a very masculine look. It's yin and yang. Then add in that he seems like both the strong, silent type AND in touch with his emotions. I never really watched Dawson's Creek but I was very into his character on Fringe. He is like the perfect man. Also he reminds me a lot of my DH :)
I should add that Diane Kruger absolutely taught him how to dress and got much better looking after he was with her for a year or two. He did an interview years ago where he talked about really admiring how she wore clothes, especially at the kind of events that actors have to do all the time where you are standing in front of people posing. She had a confidence and style that he appreciated, and you can see how he started taking that on as they were together -- he became a better and better dresser and he presents himself with this casual confidence that is extremely appealing. The fact that he attributes that to his slightly older girlfriend is even hotter, because it's a very specific-to-her compliment and it's very sweet to think of a guy admiring his girlfriend and even emulating her because it shows that he doesn't let his ego get in the way of his feelings for a woman. Ok, I'll stop pontificating on the Unique Hotness of Joshua Jackson. But yes, it is there.
