Is this true? I still feel pretty hurt by some people in my life. I’m moving on and I’ve heard people say that bad people get theirs in the end, karma, whatever. I just thought of this after reading the P Diddy post - it took 20 years for his downfall. Please share stories of bad people who eventually met their fate, without you causing it and having moved on.
No, unfortunately I know a person who cheated on his terminally ill wife and is married to the person he cheated on and living his best life, traveling, buying a home, etc.. Now do I knwo their inner workings? But you see this everywhere in the news, various celebrities, etc..
And it's so weird to really judge someone's character (barring rapists, murderers, racists, abusers and swindlers) plus morality despite seeming unchanging, can vary by culture and time period. Right now many companies streamline and inflict harsh working conditions on their employees and despite creating suffering, they don't think of themselves as evil so much as doing great work for their business. In a similar vein, our criminal justice system ignores white collar crime, karma falls short when the repercussions are vast. Some see having multiple sexual partners as immoral and an std being punishment (despite it happening to people who have one partner) but in our current culture it is just a function of dating, so it would be seen as bad luck/timing, not karma. Couldn't we tsk tsk anything we have an issue with and gloat at the misfortune of those we disapprove of?
