This isn't some idiot talk show talking head (Hilary Rosen, anyone) but an elected Republican who is working on laws that affect all of us in this country.

I don't think that some people are so much appalled by what he said.  It's that he said it OUT LOUD, in THAT WAY.  He just makes the pro-life movement "look bad".  But hey, whatever we have to do to save babies, amiright?
