He probably will be! Dad is above average and men are about 5" taller than women on average. In other words, a 5'10" man is about the same percentile as a 5'5" woman. So even if he takes after slightly shorter people in Dad's family, he's still likely to be taller than you. Obviously there's always a chance he'll end up shorter so I would try to not discuss height too much, but he'll most probably be taller.

I'm 5'5" and my husband is 5'6", so while I'm average for a woman (even a bit above! - as long as I don’t go to like Sweden or Bosnia lol) he's like 10th-15th percentile for a man. Obviously I don't care, but he's felt bad about it his whole life. Our son seems to be tracking me and our daughter to be tracking him. Son will be 13 in the summer and is about 5'3"-5'4", so I'm anticipating he'll reach my height in the next year (in general his growth curve has tracked mine*.) Daughter is 8.5, her growth curve tracks ber Dad's. We just had an appointment to check on her growth (had some other concerns so she's been seeing an endocrinologist)... predicted adult height is 5'1", which is my husband's height minus 5". (Also the height of women in his family.)

* I will say, around puberty growth curves may get a bit wonky. Like my son was 50th percentile for years, so that's what I'm basing it off of. He jumped to 80th last year, but I think that's because he's slightly on the earlier end of puberty onset, I don't think he'll stay at 80th, he'll probably stop growing before others do.
