Please see the myraid threads about this. There are not other "generic" or actual democrats who poll to beat Trump. Biden is the only one. If Trump isn't the nominee, then all bets are off, but as long as Trump is the nominee, Biden will be as well.[/quote]

This is such a terrible argument.  Polling is always about name recognition, and the President will always have greater name recognition than an unannounced primary challenger.  However, IF Biden were to step aside, there would quickly be a high-profile Democratic challenger, and they would instantly poll at or above Biden's level.   My guess is that they would then start to climb, because so many people want a non-Trump candidate who isn't geriatric.[/quote]
