She loves it. She’s an introverted kid who was really terrified of not making friends. It took about a week during BSI, but she was able to find her friends over summer. On the first day of school, sophomores were engaging and really helpful by going over her schedule and giving her the scoop on her classes, teachers, and what to expect. There was even a senior kid in advisory who taught her some features on her graphing calculator. She initially found the phone policy “oppressive” (LOL) but now understands why cell phones must be locked away during the school day. She’s got friends who are straight A students so far as well as friends who are struggling with their first Cs and even Ds. [/quote]
