Probably same with Faith. Producers will want at least a dollop of Leslie messiness. I'd be surprised if it's not her, for this and several other reasons. But I pretty much like all of them except Kathy, have no dog in this fight. Will watch regardless!
Agree the producers will not want boring.
Gerry was as boring, middle-class middle-America, as they come. If it weren't for all the crying, he could hardly be said to have any personality at all. Well, he was nice, but even that's now debatable. All the excitement came from the women competing for Gerry's roses. And that was OK. Leslie is the opposite end of that, making all the wrong choices then feeling sorry for herself, and I don't think they want that either. Faith gets on a motorcycle, rides her horse, and gets out. I actually know nothing about Joan's hobbies, maybe she excels in cocktail party conversation in which case she'd be boring, but maybe she has some great hobbies, I just don't know.
Gerry's version of boring at least came with some modulation to the voice and expression to the face. Joan is very flat, both in voice and affect. It may be the surgery or maybe more, but it's not going to carry interest on visual/audio media. Not enough to carry a show.
He was also active, into ATVs, pickle ball, rappelling. Joan doesn't seem active.
Faith is active
True, and that’s good. Because her singing and horses would get old fast. She was so stiff on the date with Gerry though, not sure she actually does well outside her comfort zone.
It wouldn’t get as old as lap dances with a bunch of old horn dogs.
What is with all the weird "lap dance" posts? Makes me miss the stream-of-consciousness haiku lady.
Don’t know, but they make Leslie look desperate and it’s probably part of the image issues some have with her. TBH the Leslie boosters here are constantly trashing Faith and Joan. Maybe rethink that if you want the lap dance poster to stop.
I don't think there's necessarily a correlation. I don't love any of the three. They're just okay. I think the group vibe was better than any one individual. Though a PP was correct in saying that Gerry wasn't at all interesting by himself.
I'm the pp who said Gerry was boring by himself, and thanks. I've noticed 2-3 hard-core Leslie fans here who constantly bash Joan's surgery and Faith's personality. They're also sort of unbelievably defensive over any criticism of Leslie, as if they can dish it out but can't take it. I'm not sure why they'd do that, because winning a few DCUMers over to Leslie's side is meaningless in the scheme of things, the producers aren't watching this board. If you like Leslie, maybe say nice things about Leslie but don't unnecessarily trash the others?
There are definitely multiple posters discussing various things about Faith and Joan, but there is definitely one "lap dance" poster who is like a broken record. Together with being inaccurate (if that's what she considers a lap dance, she doesn't get out much) and misogynistic (a-okay for women to be sexual these days).
I swear to god you must think that shoving Leslie down our throats, and constantly and repetitively calling Joan and Faith plastic and boring, is actually an important mission you take on. As if the producers are watching DCUM and making their decisions based on our consensus. Newsflash: they're not.
Reading is fundamental.
Ad hominems are no rationale for your obsessions.
