You bet they’re filling at the top of the garden district as you enter it because that part of town is not a good part of town. Don’t try to act like there aren’t bad areas surrounding the school because there are.[/quote]

I have multiple family members that live in NOLA, including within walking distance to Tulane.  Their neighbor was robbed and killed in his front yard.  My family and all their friends hire armed security if they’re hosting a party at night.  We have close friends whose family have been natives of NOLA for at least four generations and who also lived walking distance from Tulane who just moved out of state bc they couldn’t deal with the crime anymore.  Don’t pretend that there aren’t major crime concerns around the Tulane campus.

We won’t allow our kids to apply to Tulane even though I do think it’s a good school and have had several friends who had great experiences there.
