(Deer thrive in fragmented habitats with lots of forest edges. They are not creatures of deep forests. Suburbia is literally a textbook perfect environment for them, with no predators). We should be allowing and encouraging hunting of urban and suburban deer to drastically reduce their populations. In most areas, deer populations should be reduced by 80-90 percent. [/quote]
