US isn't good at playing the long game internationally, thanks to our screwed-up domestic politics.  Which by the way are screwed up in part due to influence operations by Russia and others.   It's too bad people can't put country first, rather than party first or money first.  [/quote]
The Americans’ foreign policy and strategic thinking has been a joke for 2 plus decades because Americans aren’t good at it.  If Americans put country first, America would not have started wars built on lies and would have considered the long term consequences of half-assing military operations that go against their own doctrine. America spends all this intellectual capital on creating the NDS, NSS, NMS, etc. and then doesn’t follow any of it (FYI when everything is a priority, nothing is).  The mess in the Middle East is a direct result of creating a black-hole vacuum and then running away.[/quote]
