Cardozo Employee: If Mola and Blake listened to someone other than themselves, they’d realize that this is a waste of time and money, but not because the program sucks but because they still haven’t figured out how to roll out the campaign. Isn’t the term e-skills just a fancy word for learning goals? What is the point of LL Fridays when less than 50% of the kids show up to school and less than 50% of those kids end up wandering the halls for 2-plus hours? Why is Blake trying to teach us about how to run a class when he can’t even answer basic questions about his own program? Also, I dare him to answer a question in a normal tone, at a normal volume, and without using any of the following cringe educational vocabulary words/phrases in his cheerleader voice… “We’re going to lean in” “Do the work” Leverage Elevate “Let’s promote enriching student engagement together!” “We’re going to engage…” “Student choice” “I’m glad you said that…” “We’re going to take it to the next level.” “Student voice” “We’re going to put this into action!” “Meaningful, engaged learning.” “Strong mission and culture.” “Shared experience…” “Lived experience…” “Partner up with stakeholders…” “Create pathways of/to learning…” “Transformative learning experience…” “Let’s all begin the journey…” I don’t know if he’s a good guy or a bad guy - that’s not for me to say. What I will say is that he is not good at his job. I don’t know what our LSAT team does with the budget, but let’s abandons XQ and let’s get back to policy, rules, discipline, uniforms, cell phones out of classes, parent engagement, and learning. Sincerely, Someone Who Hasn’t Drank the Kool-Aid
