How awkward is it going to be as their kid later in life when she Googles and finds out that for years her mom didn't even want kids. Like, actively talked about not wanting kids in many interviews. Same with Zooey Deschanel.
I've read a lot of men also say they didn't want kids and then had them...George Clooney and Simon Cowell come to mind. Would you say that to them? There is no shame in not wanting kids and then changing your mind. If I were the kid I wouldn't feel any less love unless the parent said I wish I didn't have you!
+1. This seems like another stupid reason to needlessly shame women. “You didn’t want to be a mother from day one? How terrible.” Myself and a lot of my friends didn’t know if we wanted to become moms when we were younger. I get that we weren’t famous or being interviewed about it, but I really don’t see the difference. People grow up and change their minds or meet someone and start to see that might be nice to settle down in have a family. There’s nothing wrong with that. And agree we would never shame a man for that, in fact, quite the opposite we would fawn all over him as a wonderful father.
