I buy plenty of fruit for the week. If you are gluttonous and eat a 3 lb bag if clementines on day one, tough, it’s gone. I went shopping on Sunday. I got a bag of clementines, a dozen apples, 3 containers of strawberries, 2 pints of blueberries, 8 bananas, and 2lbs of grapes. That’s for two adults, a teen, and an elementary aged child. That seems more than sufficient to me given the adults generally eat one piece of fruit per day each.
Dang that's so much fruit for 2 kids and 2 adults. I mean it's probably what I would buy if I were rich though.
Big fruit eaters here. I was curious, so I actually tallied our fruit purchases for the week... 1 bag clementines, 6 oranges, 2 grapefruit, 1 pineapple, 12-14 apples, 1 big container of strawberries, 2 big containers of blueberries, 1 big container of raspberries, 1 big container of blackberries, 5 pears, 7-8 bananas, 5-6 lbs of grapes, 1 big container of yellow kiwi, and 4 mangoes. This is for 2 adults and 2 teens. It's been 6 days, and the cupboard is almost bare... I need to go on another big shopping trip tomorrow. Clearly, we allow unlimited fruit!
