yes, that's why I hate apple. They want to lock you in, and force people to only use their products.

Plus I hate macs.  And iphones are not really compatible with windows machines.

I also hate the fact that you have to give your credit card to create an Apple ID.  We had our cc stolen from our AppleID 3x.

We never use the dam! thing. We only created the Apple ID when our 13 yr old got an iphone, and they never buy anything from the apps, but we still had to put a cc in there.

The first time, we called Apple, and they reversed the charges. Then we got a new credit card number. Apparently, Apple will get your new cc# automatically, and use that in your account. So, that new cc# had charges against it from the hacker.  Apple didn't lock our account. So we got a new cc again. And then it happened again. WTF.   They finally figured out the user account that was using our cc # and locked them out.

We loathe Apple.
