If viewed this way, why would it be necessary to make a lifelong commitment; why not just promise to work for the best, but if things go stale, oh well? If marriage becomes viewed this way, it loses it's meaning therefore eventually becoming obsolete. Yes, this has been going on for a while now, but legalizing same sex marriage, seems as if it's putting a final nail in the coffin.[/quote]
